Starting December 16th and running through the 27th of 2022, Ajijic San Andres Church will be holding their Creches or Nativity Scenes. All the multiple scenes are live action and display the many different events leading up to the birth of Jesus. During the event church bells can be heard ringing and at night, fireworks can be seen overhead. La Noche Buena or Christmas eve is the most busiest day at the church with an evening service starting at 7 pm. The celebrations of Christmas Eve in Chapala last all night and you will see lots of families outside their homes and large crowds in the plazas. So if you would like to visit during more quiet times, visit on other evenings and come early.
